Quality Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform daily foam tests for the lab.
• Cut detailed test samples, perform data entry, and issue certification of compliance to customers.
• Participate in and lead corrective action teams.
• Work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including weekends.
• Effectively communicate with plant associates and Managers.
• Create and update JHA's and SOP's.
• Follow all safety and housekeeping guidelines.
• Other tasks as assigned by Supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required; A.S. degree preferred.
• ASQ certification as CQ1 or CQT is desirable.
• At least 2 years of lab testing experience required.
• Direct experience within a manufacturing facility under an ISO, AS, or IATF management system with documented training in one or more areas as Manager, Lead, Technician, Inspector, and/or Auditor.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent computer skills with all Microsoft applications.
• SAP experience desirable.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 current requirements.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must be able to work independently and effectively manage time.
