You will be supporting one of our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) Businesses located in Sterling Heights, MI or York, PA. Relocation will not be offered, and housing is not provided. This position is expected to be full-time (40 hours / week) during the summer and part-time (16-20 hours/ week) with flexibility.
Progress
The Combat Vehicles line of business within the Platforms & Services (P&S) Sector of BAE Systems is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the assembly of armored military vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the execution of quality audits, inspections, and testing protocols to ensure product conformity.
- Documentation: Help maintain and update quality records, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
- Process Improvement: Support the team in identifying process inefficiencies and assisting in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand production requirements and ensure quality checkpoints are integrated into the workflow.
- Reporting: Assist in the collection and analysis of quality metrics to help track performance trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Quality Management, or a related technical field.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or academic project experience related to Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC).
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $45553 - $63330
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
