Mercedes-Benz Vans, LLC (“MBV Charleston”) is a production entity based in Ladson, South Carolina, that manufactures Sprinter vans for the U.S. and Canadian markets. The Sprinter plant, which opened in 2018, plays a crucial role in the Mercedes-Benz Vans global production network. MBV Charleston was chosen to produce the all-new eSprinter starting in 2024. The company actively supports the local community through various initiatives and programs.
The U.S. market is the second-largest for Sprinter vans after Germany. Since 2006, Sprinter and Metris vans have been assembled in North Charleston and distributed throughout the country. In 2025, the plant celebrated its milestone of producing the 5,000,000th Sprinter in the Mercedes-Benz global production network.
