Internship Overview

Under the direction of and reporting to Quality, the Quality Intern learns the principles of quality during a summer internship. This project‑based, data‑entry‑intensive internship is located at the corporate office. The intern will work on various foundry‑related improvement projects, implementations, cost‑reduction initiatives, and will be involved with day‑to‑day activities of the Quality Department. The Quality Engineer Internship begins Spring 2027 and ends August 2027.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Update raw material standards.
• Develop PFMEA.
• Collect production and quality data as required.
• Work on continuous improvement projects across all departments.
• Develop standardized processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Improve product handling and process flow.
• Program within Excel to automate data entry and data collection.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Must be enrolled full‑time at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Must have completed the freshman year in the major program of study.
• Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
• Candidates nearing final consideration must submit to and pass a pre‑employment drug test.
