What You Will Be Doing As a Quality Inspector (Receiving & MRB), you'll play a critical role in ensuring that incoming supplier materials and internally manufactured hardware meet Helion's engineering and quality standards before entering production. You'll perform receiving, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections, verify dimensional and documentation requirements, maintain product traceability, and support the control of nonconforming material through Helion's Material Review Board (MRB) process. Working closely with Manufacturing, the Machine Shop, Engineering, Receiving, Supplier Quality, Sourcing, and Warehousing, you'll help protect product quality while enabling the efficient flow of material needed to build reliable fusion generators. This role is responsible for identifying and documenting quality issues, preparing material for MRB review, and executing approved dispositions. Engineering and the Material Review Board retain authority for disposition decisions. This is an onsite role that reports directly to the Inspection Supervisor at our Everett location. You Will Inspect incoming supplier materials and internally manufactured hardware by performing receiving, first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirementsPerform dimensional inspections and maintain traceability by interpreting engineering drawings, using precision measurement tools, documenting inspection results, and verifying material certifications and product recordsControl nonconforming material by identifying quality issues, placing material on quality hold, initiating nonconformance records, and preparing documentation for Material Review Board (MRB) reviewSupport the MRB process by providing inspection data and product history, then executing approved dispositions—including rework, repair, return to supplier, or scrap while recognizing that Engineering and the MRB retain disposition authorityPartner across Manufacturing, Machine Shop, Engineering, Receiving, Supplier Quality, and Sourcing to resolve quality issues, improve inspection processes, and drive continuous improvement throughout manufacturing Required Qualifications 2+ years of quality inspection experience in manufacturing or another technical production environmentExperience inspecting precision machined or electromechanical components using standard dimensional inspection equipmentAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and technical documentationExperience identifying, documenting, and controlling nonconforming material while maintaining accurate inspection records and traceabilityStrong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams in a fast-paced environment Benefits Our total compensation package includes benefits, including but not limited to: Medical, Dental, and Vision plans for employees and their families31 Days of PTO (21 vacation days and 10 sick days)10 Paid holidays, plus company-wide winter breakUp to 5% employer 401(k) matchShort term disability, long term disability, and life insurancePaid parental leave and support (up to 16 weeks)Annual wellness stipend Helion is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
