Inspector, Quality Control

About the role

This position works closely with the Plant Chemist to ensure requirements for PosiFlush R&D testing are completed.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with the Plant Chemist to ensure requirements for PosiFlush R&D testing are completed
• Work schedule hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with some flexibility
• No drug screening is required.
• Candidate can start while background checks are pending, however, criminal background checks must be fully cleared before starting.
• - Starting PosiFlush R&D Stability studies and placing samples in stability chambers
• - Completing and coordinating testing for PosiFlush R&D studies
• - Support validations and PosiFlush R&D studies – sample creation through result reporting
• - Report and investigate out of specification results in a timely manner
• - Organize and manage raw data storage
• - Execute various instrument / equipment / test methods to include:
• pH
• Sodium chloride assay
• HIA (sub-visible particle counts)
• UV/Vis spectrophotometer
• ICP Heavy Metals and Iron
• Sterility Testing
• Heparin Assay testing
• Syringe Functional Testing
• - Perform other laboratory duties as required

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field is required. Experience in laboratory work, including but not limited to pH, sodium chloride assay, HIAC (sub-visible particle counts), UV/Vis spectrophotometer, ICP Heavy Metals and Iron, sterility testing, heparin assay testing, and syringe functional testing is preferred. Knowledge of quality control procedures and experience with laboratory instruments and equipment is necessary.
