Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming materials, components and products using visual, mechanical, and measurement techniques.
- Verify materials against engineering drawings, specifications, purchase order, and quality requirements.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, and other inspection tools.
- Collect and maintain related quality records.
- Use of a computer-based ERP system for data entry and inventory management.
- Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming materials.
- Assist in first article and sampling inspections, as requested.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis activities, as requested.
- Assist with audits and quality system documentation, as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Comfortable using computers and learning software programs
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management skills
Qualifications
- Previous experience with product inspection
- Familiarity with measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing is a plus
