Quality Inspector - Gear Manufacturing

About the role

Supervising production to ensure product quality and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Performing regular product evaluations, recording inspection results, and recommending process improvements.
• Assisting in corrective and preventive actions, verifying process controls, and maintaining inspection documentation.
• Training production staff on quality control standards and procedures.
• Measuring product dimensions, examining functionality, and comparing to blueprints and specifications.
• Handling supplier discrepancies, maintaining calibration and document control systems, and supporting safety and training programs.
• Collecting and managing quality-related documentation and records.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; high school diploma acceptable.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Experience with ISO 9001 and ERP systems; proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Basic math skills and the ability to define problems, analyze data, and draw conclusions.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform detailed visual inspections.
