Quality Inspector - Gear Manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Inspect custom and stock gears, including spur, helical, bevel, and worm gears, using micrometers, gauges, CMMs, and other metrology tools.
• Interpret prints and GD&T to verify adherence to tight OEM tolerances.
• Document inspection results accurately.
• Support root-cause investigations to address quality issues.
• Collaborate closely with machinists and engineers to ensure quality standards are met.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in gear inspection and metrology tools.
• Strong understanding of prints, GD&T, and precision tolerances.
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a safety-focused, craftsmanship-driven environment.
