Quality Inspector

SUMMARY

Shift: Nights (6:45pm-7:00am)
Starting pay $22.00 per hour plus shift differential

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs a variety of physical testing of product, including but not limited to; rubber ring testing, impact, quick burst, flattening, brabender, long term testing and all other required QA testing
• Completes paperwork and reports as needed.
• Uses a variety of tools and instruments to assess and inspect product.
• Checks the quality of finished goods, including those loaded for delivery, and returned goods for acceptance to stock.
• Reviews stocked pipe periodically and identifies damaged product to be removed from inventory.
• Maintains area to be clean and free from safety hazards.
• Other duties may be assigned to assist in daily plant operations.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years’ experience or training/education in production and/or quality control

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Frequently sits, stands, walks, uses hands to touch, handle, or feel, reaches with hands and arms, talks or hears.
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Office/computer, manufacturing plant and outdoor environments are normal.
• The noise level in the plant environment is usually high, as normal for a manufacturing plant.
• Some of the work in the operating units may require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, fall protection, hard hats, etc.

Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, and skillset.

SCHEDULE

This position has a transitioning work environment. Night shifts are available.
