Quality Inspector

Description

The Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) role at RK Industries ensures conformance with internal quality standards and external accreditation requirements (ISO 9001, AISC, and ASME). Key responsibilities include conducting inspections, supporting audits, collaborating with production teams, reporting QMS progress, reviewing plans, monitoring construction sites, using survey instruments, testing equipment, verifying alignment, level, and elevation, keeping daily logs, and providing written feedback.

Qualifications

• Indirect supervision
• Fully competent in all conventional aspects of subject matter or functional area
• Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standards
• Devises new solutions to problems encountered
• Independently performs most assignments with instruction
• Receives guidance for unusual or complex problems and supervisor approval for changes in standards
• College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally expected for specified technical roles
• CWI preferred

Physical Requirements and Accountability

• Work outside, inside, and in dusty, noisy, and hazardous areas
• Work in high places, tight places, confined spaces, and/or other adverse locations
• Climb, balance, squat, kneel, and crouch
• Work in all types of weather
• Must have working knowledge of all trade materials and tools
• Able to lift, move, and/or carry 50 lbs.
