Responsibilities
- Perform basic operation, calibration, and maintenance of test equipment
- Perform SIP (Standard Inspection Procedure) audits
- Audit manufacturing processes
- Prepare report summaries for management review
- Effectively communicate quality issues to the Operators, Team Leads and Set-ups
- Assist Quality Technicians in containment, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for assembly quality issues
- Facilitate training for new employees
- Create, implement, and utilize basic statistical process control tools
- Perform basic 5S tasks to maintain proper workplace organization
- Perform containment activities and provide guidance to assembly for performing containment of non-conformances
- Determine root cause and assist in the implementation of containment and corrective actions for existing and potential quality issues
- Gather and analyze data for new process equipment qualification, torque studies, capability studies, etc.
- Ensure applicable product compliance requirements are upheld including but not limited to the Clean Air Act, California Code of Regulation and California Health and Safety Code
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervision
Frequent interaction with: Quality Inspectors, Quality Technicians, Engineers, and Maintenance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum three years of industrial manufacturing experience
- Minimum one year of experience performing quality-related tasks (e.g., inspections, audits, quality control checks, corrective action support)
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
Preferences
- SAP experience
- Technical knowledge of engine function and assembly operations
Pay
The hourly range for this position is $21.50-$24.75. The specific hourly rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
