Quality Inspector
Job Summary
Working with limited supervision to verify product compliance to identified requirements. Follow inspection plans and statistical sampling plans. Marks items for acceptance or rejection, records test results and inspection data, and compares findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards. Accurately generate the necessary quality documentation required by each customer. Work cooperatively with other inspectors, quality engineers, and manufacturing engineers. Participate in root cause investigations of non-conformances. Assist in material containment actions as required.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Self-starter, ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to identify electronics parts and components
- Ability to review and interpret customer/industry specifications & workmanship standards
- Substantial experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiar with statistical process control techniques
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for inspection verification
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
- Prior experience writing First Article Inspection Reports per SAE AS9102 (desired, but not required)
- Ability to evaluate test results and ability to maintain test records
- Use all inspection hand tools
Required Experience And Education
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- 1 years or more of electronic quality related experience (highly desired)
- 1 years of electronics assembly related experience (highly desired)
- Familiar with ESD control practices and principles
- Licenses, Certifications, etc.:
- J-STD-001 Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies (desired, but will train)
- IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies (desired, but will train)
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 Cable / Wire Harness Acceptance Standard (desired, but will train)
