About the role
The Quality Inspector I ensures product quality by inspecting products and maintaining records. Shifts are Monday to Friday from 2pm to 10pm with a shift differential of $2.40.
Responsibilities
- Read customer prints and associated job documentation to ensure all requirements are met.
- Record and archive inspection results.
- Write up parts requiring reworks or remakes via non-conformance reports and route them to the proper operations.
- Complete first article inspection (FAI) reports when required by the customers.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following all plant rules.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness in the workplace and ensure all tools are properly stored and accounted for when not in use.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent degree.
- Able to comprehend and follow printed and computer-screen instructions, and direction from supervisors or technical leads.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Able to use measuring instruments such as scales, and calipers.
- Able to work safely with sharp tools/objects, such as but not limited to, hobby knives, utility knives, diagonal-cutting pliers.
- Able to use a computer and calculator.
- Able to read and write in English, and do basic arithmetic.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment.
- Strong attention to detail is required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a CNC Machining environment is a plus.
