About the role
Alloy Products Corp. is looking for a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join our team in Waukesha, WI. Quality is at the core of everything we do, and this role is essential to upholding the high standards our customers count on. You'll work alongside a team of inspectors — collaborating closely while also taking ownership of your own inspections — to ensure every part and finished product meets spec.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts arriving through receiving to verify correct product, material type, and quality before they move into production
- Perform dimensional checks, surface finish checks, and verify proper component use against specifications, engineering drawings, and routings
- Record heat and lot numbers, inspection results, and completed operations in computer systems and manual records
- Inspect finished tanks to ensure compliance with code requirements, including weld inspections and final quality checks
- Operate measuring tools and equipment to accurately verify products meet ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ASME standards
- Perform calibration testing on measuring equipment and maintain calibration records
- Work as part of a team of inspectors, collaborating on workload and standards while also completing independent inspections
- Partner with other departments to identify and resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing methods
- Assist with loading/unloading materials; operate forklifts, cranes, and other industrial equipment, including at elevated heights
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, following all established safety policies and procedures
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of manufacturing experience working with sheet metal, preferably in a quality-related role (but we are willing to train in quality for the right candidate)
- Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools/equipment
- Familiarity with weld codes and compliance standards
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and sound decision-making
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work independently when needed
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
