About the Role
The Quality Control Inspector (Level 1) is primarily responsible for inspecting products throughout the manufacturing process, including cleanroom and carton room operations. This role ensures compliance with company policies and customer specifications, maintains quality documentation, and reports non-conformances to Quality Assurance Management.
Responsibilities
- Perform quality control inspections of products according to EuroMed instructions.
- Complete quality control documentation as defined by EuroMed instructions.
- Immediately report non-conformances, quality compromises, and create/approve Internal Reports and Dispositions as required.
- Provide quality leadership to the laminator team.
- Verify and approve product labeling per EuroMed instructions.
- Conduct Line Clearance activities as defined by applicable instructions.
- Perform sampling according to EuroMed sampling plans and instructions.
- Conduct process verification activities throughout the production line (from lamination through retail box packaging).
- Communicate observed process deficiencies, product defects, or abnormalities to Line Operators, Production Supervisors, or Quality Control Leaders.
- Verify and approve in-line print, labels, or stickers as instructed in Test Specifications.
- Utilize the IQS system to confirm documentation and initiate document changes as necessary.
- Use the Epicor system for inventory management of products and materials.
- Assist in cleaning production areas and equipment as assigned.
- Verify job material requirements brought into production areas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Quality Control Leaders.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a quality role.
- Ability to follow written work instructions and work under minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in using standard inspection equipment (calipers, thickness gauges, etc.).
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is a plus.
- Ability to read, understand, and apply technical documentation, procedures, drawings, and basic geometric tolerances.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel).
- Flexibility to work overtime.
- Must be able to speak, write, and read English; bilingual skills (Spanish) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASQ Quality Certification.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC).
