About the role
Leidos’ Defense Sector Platform Integration Facility is seeking a Quality Inspector to join their team. This position will be responsible for verifying that electro-mechanical parts and assembled hardware meet specified drawing/specification and work procedures as well as assisting in documenting work. Examples of hardware include cable assemblies, structural hardware, integrated assemblies, and providing test support.
Responsibilities
- Inspection of piece parts, components and assemblies
- Must be able to read prints, test plans and understand assembly instructions
- Perform material verification and inspections and complete inspection reports
- Generate quality documentation including inspection reports, bubble prints, C of C’s and NCR’s
- Effective communication within a team environment
- Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
- Effective communication within a team environment
Requirements
- Candidate must possess a High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an ISO9001/AS9100 system or equivalent experience in DOD, Aerospace, or Automotive manufacturing quality control.
- Candidate must have demonstrated experience with standard measurement equipment, i.e. micrometers, calipers, multi-meters, etc.
- Candidate must be able to execute inspections or witness acceptance testing and generate test reports.
- Candidate must have demonstrated experience reading and interpreting drawings, assembly schematics, and specifications and prepare inspection reports.
- The position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Qualifications
