About the role
Join our team as a Quality Inspector and play a critical role in ensuring product excellence. This hands-on position offers an opportunity to contribute to a production environment where your expertise in meticulous inspections of mechanical and electromechanical components upholds our high standards for workmanship and safety.
Responsibilities
- Conduct dimensional and visual inspections on parts, subassemblies, and finished products
- Use precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and optical comparators
- Verify conformity to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records
- Identify nonconforming material and ensure proper handling for rework or rejection
- Operate hydraulic, air, and electrical test equipment to assess product quality
Requirements
- Strong shop math skills and experience with precision measurement devices
- Minimum of 2 years’ inspection experience with a technical certificate or 5 years’ experience with a high school diploma
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and understanding of ANSI Y14.5M standards
- Experience with coordinate measuring machines (preferred)
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform detailed visual inspections in a production environment
- U.S. citizenship (required for U.S. government security clearance)
- Ability to work in a moderate noise environment
- Lift up to 25 pounds and maintain focus during detailed visual inspections
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with electronic inspection instruments
- Familiarity with rework processes and documentation for quality control
- Two-year technical certification or equivalent gained through hands-on work experience
- At least two years of inspection-related experience in a manufacturing setting
