Quality Inspector

Responsibilities

• Inspect inbound parts and materials from vendors and outbound products for shipping
• Create comprehensive documentation for quality issues and note the corrective actions that were taken
• Educate others within the department on quality control issues and work with department managers to improve overall company safety and product quality
• Create process checklists and coordinate quality inspections with department managers
• Maintain and update quality inspection records
• Identify, set aside and document all suspect or defective items

Requirements

• Good working knowledge of the AS-9100 Quality Standard
• Strong attention to detail to ensure that products meet required specifications
• Able to read engineering drawings
• Knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerancing a plus
• Experience with a CMM a plus
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent computer skills, proficient in Excel, and Word
• Independent, self-starter with the ability to multi-task
• Possess excellent communication skills and positive attitude
