Other Responsibilities
- Receives material coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly.
- Verifies the quantity and description of materials received by checking product against the packing list.
- Processes paperwork regarding UPS shipments including verifying that the merchandise to be shipped is correct, applying the correct UPS postage tape, following customer shipping instructions and insuring the shipment when necessary.
- Determines product acceptance and certificate accuracy using controlled stamps.
- Performs AQL sample lot inspections of drawing characteristics.
- Inspects inbound & outbound materials for conformance, and supplier documentation, manufacture/special process certifications.
- Supports internal and external ISO audits to initiate discrepancy reports and hold notices.
- Manages QC equipment for 3rd party calibration and Non-Conforming Material Receipt (NCMR).
- Cage Management.
- Fulfills quality processes, ISO facility internal procurement clauses and internal work instructions to review & interpret customer requirements and supplier quality documentation.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Previous inspection or quality control experience while performing the physical demands associated with a warehouse environment, including standing continuously, lifting up to 75lbs unassisted and repetitive use of hands/manual dexterity.
- The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, organize and prioritize job tasks to aid in satisfying customer requirements.
- An associate degree/trade school (2 yr. min.) in Quality/Material Composition, Non-Destructive testing or equivalent program.
- Two years work experience in Industrial or Distribution environment or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with interpretation of engineering drawings/specifications, and manufacturing process evaluation.
- Previous ISO Quality Systems experience.
- Previous global company experience.
- Quality Certification Statistics training & experience.
- Working knowledge of and application of UL/CE/CSA/IEC/ASTN/ANSI and other relevant Global Regulatory Codes.
