Quality Inspector

Key Responsibilities

• Cover audits in assigned production areas according to established protocols.
• Complete all sections of audit documentation accurately and thoroughly (as necessary).
• Submit completed audit forms to Quality Management or Departmental Supervisor at the end of each shift or audit day.
• Independently perform quality checks and measurements on critical-to-quality characteristics throughout production runs.
• Conduct independent strike box evaluations at the beginning, end of production runs. Verify execution of pre-startup quality activities before production begins.

Quality Issue Identification and Escalation

• Identify process gaps, non-conformances, and quality risks.
• Immediately notify production supervision when non-compliant conditions are observed.
• Work collaboratively with production personnel to stop production when necessary to prevent the release of defective products.
• Ensure suspect material is identified, isolated, and managed according to Non-Conforming Material Control requirements.

Production Support

• Provide support to machine operators in order readiness or machine setup.
• Absorb any necessary quality sort activities.
• Provide general production support, as needed or as assigned by the departmental manager or supervisor.
