About the role

Audit product and processes for conformance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, testing, and NCR documentation with the appropriate tools/gages/equipment and effectively communicate or escalate results.
  • Effectively use Quality Assurance systems and equipment to access, print, and utilize documents like drawings, procedures, and standards.
  • Effectively utilize Quality Management System and FAI method to determine the quality of product prior to releasing/accepting.
  • Identify non-conforming material, use sound decision-making skills, and effectively contain and communicate rejected material details.
  • Document NCRs and create reports.
  • Transfer, share, and relay information and statuses across shifts.
  • Understand and comply with company safety standards and federal regulations.
  • Maintain a clean work area (knowledge of 5S preferred).

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Quality and Manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading and understanding.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring tool use, nondestructive testing techniques (preferred).
  • Ability to perform inspection of quality-related data on incoming material, parts, sub-assemblies, and products using the required inspection tools (Micrometers, calipers, height gages, thread and plug gages).
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, SOPs, inspection reports, and AQL sampling plans.
  • Good decision-making skills with the ability to effectively determine the quality of product prior to releasing or accepting.
  • Understanding of Quality Assurance processes and documentation to meet company quality standards (knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Standards preferred).
  • Technical experience and knowledge base to understand Quality Control Plans and NCRs.
  • Initiative to drive development in the Quality Department, team personnel, and facility.
  • Good communication skills and basic computer literacy for data entry and documenting reports.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Must be a team player across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISO 9001 experience.
  • High School Degree.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift 10–20 lbs. frequently.
  • Must be able to lift 20–35 lbs. occasionally.
  • Must be able to easily grasp products and other materials.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and high product volume environment.
  • Able to stand up to 8 hours and walk on a cement floor.

Pay

$22–$28 per hour, depending on experience.

Schedule

Full-time, first shift.
