Quality Inspector

Specific Duties

• Control the manufacturing process to produce ware meeting requirements as per Quality Policy.
• Periodic procedures include visual and dimensional inspections used in SPC charting.
• Document any changes made to recorded molding process parameters.
• Affirmative authority to manage, perform, and verify work impacting quality.
• Set up and monitor all production equipment.
• Locate and correct problems causing line backups.
• Analyze and solve productivity issues in collaboration with manufacturing support team.
• Perform assigned Preventive Maintenance (P.M.) functions.
• Prepare, train, and ensure adherence to equipment procedures/work instructions for safe and efficient operations.
• Monitor, inspect, and package products.
• Inspect product continuously for quality and efficient machine operation.
• Make adjustments or consult technicians for corrective actions as necessary.
• Prepare, train, and ensure adherence to product procedures/work instructions for quality production.
• Follow good manufacturing practices.
• Collect data for key performance indicators.
• Participate in daily team meetings.
• Contribute and implement ideas to improve operation performance.
• Write, train, and monitor work instructions for existing and new employees.
• Adhere to five basics of workplace organization.
• Perform miscellaneous projects and data collection tasks.

Authorities

• Initiate action to prevent occurrences of nonconforming product or quality systems.
• Identify and record problems related to product, process, and quality system.
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
• Verify the implementation of solutions.
