Quality Inspector-Aerospace
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform inspections and ensure compliance with blueprints, technical plans, and customer specifications.
- Inspect clearance-control coated parts using microscopes, micrometers, calipers, electronic measurement systems, and other tools.
- Review certifications, test results, and process documentation for compliance with ISO9001, AS9100, Nadcap, and customer requirements.
- Complete First Article Inspections (FAI) and AS9102 documentation.
- Record inspection results, document non-conformances, and maintain detailed reports.
- Verify that all manufacturing steps are complete and properly signed off.
- Create reports and maintain inspection packets.
- Prepare shipping documents, package parts, and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Complete Certificates of Conformance.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (or equivalent).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and certifications.
- Familiar with inspection equipment, including microscopes, micrometers, calipers, and electronic measurement systems.
- Strong attention to detail and methodical work habits.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Qualifications (Desired)
- Experience in aerospace or military/defense manufacturing.
- Familiarity with ISO9001, AS9100, and NADCAP requirements.
- Previous training or mentoring experience.
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working around certain chemicals.
