Aerospace Quality Inspector

Responsibilities

• Inspect assemblies and detail parts for compliance with applicable drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements
• Document discrepancies in accordance with established procedures
• Work from engineering drawings, blueprints, quality procedures and instructions, manufacturing specifications and procedures, operation and work sheets, electronic data, and verbal instructions
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to perform assigned quality inspection tasks
• Maintain required documentation and inspection records
• Monitor and support adherence to all safety procedures, department practices, and company directives
• Collaborate effectively with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 0–1 year of inspection experience in the manufacturing of aerospace components and assemblies required
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with all disciplines
• Working knowledge of Boeing specifications and blueprints preferred
• Working knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) preferred
• Ability to understand shop mathematics and interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing specifications, and inspection procedures
• Experience using inspection tools including scales, thickness gauges, micrometers, calipers, go/no-go gauges, dial indicators, split ball gauges
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
• Strong organizational skills & excellent attention to detail
• Able to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Willingness to work any shift during training and after completion
