Quality Inspector - 1st Shift

About the role
The Quality Inspector will verify conformance to drawings and specifications on our 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) at our Thompson Road – South location in Fenton, MI. Some overtime on weekends may be required.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts, assemblies, and subassemblies to drawings and prints.
- Initiate non-conformance reports for parts and assemblies not meeting specifications.
- Ensure manufactured units meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.
- Initiate corrective action requests for repetitive quality issues.
- Complete, inspect, and distribute all quality records and documents.
- Perform specialized testing as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to use a variety of hand inspection tools.
- Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings and strong background in quality tolerances and dimensional inspection.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer skills required.
