Quality Inspector - 1st Shift

Position Summary

Support manufacturing by inspecting products and processes to meet quality and scheduled goals of the company.

Essential Functions

  • Perform inspection of product.
    • Work in accordance with inspection sheets.
    • Participate in root cause corrective action investigations.
    • Learn and develop hands-on proficiency with inspection processes utilized by the company.
    • Follow written and verbal instructions, engineering drawings or sketches.
    • Prepare inspection reports and document non-conformances.
    • Participate in the operation of and compliance with all safety, hazardous material handling and disposal requirements in accordance with government regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean work environment in full compliance with all internal, customer and government regulations.

Competencies

  • Technical capacity
    • Ability to work from sketches and use measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height stands, indicators, shadow graph and CMM.
    • Knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions and its application to use sketches and measuring instruments.
  • Communication proficiency
    • Subject to complete vision exam per requirements of National Aerospace Standards (NAS) 410.

Experience and Education

  • Highly skilled in bench inspection.
  • Knowledge of arithmetic involving decimals and fractions and its application to use sketches and measuring instruments.
  • Subject to complete vision exam per requirements of National Aerospace Standards (NAS) 410.

Physical Demands

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Regularly stand.
  • Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally walk; sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Talk or hear.

Work Authorization

Compensation

$40000 - $100000 / year

Cash compensation is paid hourly and may be adjusted based on level of experience, overtime and shift.
