Responsibilities
- Perform inspections on parts and finished products to verify quality standards.
- Accept or reject products based on specifications, durability, and functionality.
- Develop, complete, and maintain inspection reports and quality documentation.
- Perform testing and inspections on new and existing products.
- Maintain, calibrate, and clean measuring and testing equipment.
- Communicate quality concerns and inspection results with engineering, production, and management.
- Identify and document nonconforming materials before shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S principles.
- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- One to three years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience is preferred.
- Experience using measuring and testing equipment is beneficial.
- Basic math skills, including fractions, ratios, and proportions, are necessary.
- A strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is important.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
- Ability to perform detailed visual inspections, including close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, vibration, and industrial materials.
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and bump cap.
