Quality Improvement Specialist

About the role

This position supports the management of quality, performance improvement, and regulatory activities at Willis Knighton Health, focusing on chart abstracted and electronic Clinical Quality Measures (eCQMs).

Responsibilities

• Chart review and chart abstraction
• Staff and physician education
• Communication to achieve and maintain compliance with core measure and eCQM sets
• Identification of core measures and eCQM patient populations
• Cooking and tracking the services patients receive
• Providing communication to caregivers and implementing process improvements to achieve compliance

Requirements

• Registered nursing licensure or higher preferred
• Maintains professional licensure or certification as applicable
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in both written and verbal forms
• Works with individuals using a multidisciplinary approach
• Works cooperatively with other staff and departments to achieve continued compliance

Qualifications

• Broad-based hospital experience
• Knowledge of quality improvement principles, regulatory standards, multidisciplinary team process, and resource utilization
• Leadership skills
• Facilitation skills
• Data management and analysis
• Interdisciplinary leadership and communication skills
• Computer skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Detail oriented and able to remain focused for long periods of time
