About the role
The Quality Improvement Specialist is an exempt position responsible for monitoring and evaluating programs and services; establishing and implementing internal control systems to monitor compliance; and ensuring performance and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Conduct quality program reviews.
- Prepare monitoring reports.
- Aid and support programs in identifying areas of needed improvement and best practices.
- Ensure Corrective Action Plans, both internal and external, are developed and submitted; monitor the process to ensure completion of the corrective action plan.
- Review all significant incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with accreditation, standards, and regulations that are required by the agency and assigned programs.
- Assist the Director in funder-related activities, including audits and meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with two (2) years’ experience working in a human services field.
- In place of a degree, relevant multiple years of experience may substitute.
- Computer-literate and competent in using Microsoft Office Suites, SharePoint.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and/or carry office supplies, files, etc., up to 25 lbs.
- Must be able to travel to meet the needs of the programs.
- Must have a valid driver's license with current auto insurance coverage.
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a background screening and drug test.
- Must be able to pass a motor vehicle check.
Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and/or carry office supplies, files, etc., up to 25 lbs.
