About the role

The Quality Improvement & Performance Advisor will develop, implement, and deliver clinical quality initiatives for the Lurie Children’s Health Partners Clinical Integration Network (CIN). This role applies principles of quality improvement, project management, stakeholder management, and meeting facilitation to identify inefficiencies and develop creative solutions addressing barriers to optimal, cost-effective care. The advisor works with diverse stakeholders, including CIN leadership, external vendors, Lurie Children’s leadership, specialists, and community pediatricians/practices, to improve quality of care and clinical outcomes for the CIN pediatric population.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in implementing a strategic, structured approach to quality improvement of care across the network, focusing on community-based practices in value-based contracts.
  • Develop, implement, and provide project management support for initiatives improving quality, cost, and utilization for a subset of practices.
  • Proactively anticipate project barriers and establish contingency plans.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for physician offices, addressing questions and issues as the ‘face’ of the CIN.
  • Develop and enhance relationships with community-based physicians and their practice staff.
  • Support practices in transitioning to value-based payment structures aligned with the CIN mission.
  • Lead training and education for physicians and practice staff on value-based principles, including cost, utilization, quality, patient experience metrics, and vendor-supported tools.
  • Develop coherent, actionable summaries from input generated during meetings with hospital and community providers, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Interpret data from various sources and share it in an actionable format with practices.
  • Develop and share meaningful summary reports supporting priority metrics for the CIN, demonstrating working knowledge of payor contracts and annual incentive models.
  • Monitor practice-specific data to identify opportunities for improvements in quality, cost, and utilization.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Analytics Team to share specialty retention reports, market analysis, patient-provider assignment, and contracting with practices.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations and CIN vendors for ongoing clinical and claims data acquisition and integration in support of clinical quality measures.
  • Troubleshoot issues identified by practices in CIN-supported tools.
  • Attend CIN meetings as requested by leadership.
  • Perform job functions adhering to service principles with a focus on innovation, service excellence, and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service.
  • Perform other job functions as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree (MPH, MHA, MSN, MBA, or other relevant degree) preferred.
  • Ability to apply quality improvement and process improvement techniques in value-based arrangements.
  • Understanding of integration of care across the continuum.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in utilizing quality measurement systems and creating practical, effective practice workflow tools.
  • Proven ability to create and maintain relationships with physicians and medical practice personnel.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and vendor applications; experience using EMR system(s) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related professional experience.
  • Local travel required; ability to attend evening meetings occasionally required.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $65,520.00–$107,120.00. At Lurie Children’s, compensation is competitive and fair, aligned with market rates and internal equity, reflecting individual contributions, experience, and expertise.
