Quality Engineering Manager - Oklahoma City, OK

About the role

Join a leading automotive manufacturer as the Quality Engineering Manager and take the lead in driving quality excellence across the plant. You'll guide a team of quality professionals, champion continuous improvement initiatives, and work closely with operations and customers to deliver world-class products. Success will be measured by improvements in first-pass yield, customer satisfaction, and overall manufacturing performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Quality Engineering team
• Oversee Process Control Plans (PCP), PFMEA, and quality management systems
• Drive corrective and preventive actions using customer feedback, warranty data, and production metrics
• Lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility
• Support APQP/PPAP activities for new product launches
• Partner with operations, engineering, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality concerns
• Coordinate customer audits and visits while ensuring compliance with IATF/TS-16949 and ISO quality standards
• Establish quality objectives, monitor key performance indicators, and promote a culture of operational excellence

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing, including leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems, including IATF/TS-16949, ISO standards, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Process Control Plans
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving continuous improvement
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel occasionally and work additional hours when needed

Preferred Qualifications

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
• Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI)
• ASE Certification, or similar quality certifications

Pay

$145,000 per year
