About the role
This organization operates within the aviation sector, providing operational services related to passenger flights and ground handling. The Safety, Quality Assurance & Security department oversees compliance with relevant regulations, optimizes processes, and supports departments through audits and inspections. As a Quality Engineer, you will ensure and improve quality and safety in operational processes, working closely with departments such as flight operations, operations control center, ground handling, technical services, and cabin services. The role requires a hands-on attitude combined with analytical sharpness and regular presence at Schiphol for operational coordination and inspections.
Responsibilities
- Perform internal and external audits and inspections, including training and flight inspections;
- Collect and analyze data on quality and safety assurance, reporting to relevant departments;
- Advise operational departments on compliance with aviation regulations and support the implementation of improvement measures;
- Maintain contacts with internal and external parties regarding company certifications and regulations, ensuring certifications are upheld.
Requirements
- HBO or WO degree in Safety Science, Aviation Engineering, or Flight Operations;
- 1 to 2 years of experience in quality management within a technical or operational environment;
- Experience with audits and inspections, and knowledge of EASA regulations and IOSA;
- Strong analytical skills, persuasiveness, and good planning abilities;
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and verbal;
- Willingness to travel for inspections and audits domestically and internationally.
