Quality Engineer - SAP Finance
About the role
Our client is looking for a Quality Engineer to lead and execute test automation efforts across a suite of large-scale, multi-system integrated financial applications. This role sits within a global finance technology team and is responsible for defining and driving test automation strategy across a broad portfolio of financial applications.
Responsibilities
- Define testing strategy and approach to validate new or enhanced functionality across financial systems and integrations
- Collaborate with team members to decompose functional and nonfunctional requirements into test scripts and scenarios
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts; execute scripts and analyze results
- Design and implement comprehensive test data management solutions, leveraging automation throughout all phases of the test process
- Implement and maintain automation frameworks for functional, regression, and integration testing
- Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
- Lead the development effort for a team of automation developers, providing oversight, mentorship, and guidance
- Author test cases according to standards and prepare required test data
- Determine test dependencies including QA environments, tooling, training, build and deployment plans, and communication processes
- Develop comprehensive documentation of testing requirements, strategies, and procedures
- Drive adoption of standards and best practices for software testing and test automation across the QA/QE team
- Coordinate resolution of internal and external dependencies across value streams and shared services
- Provide accurate estimates for projects, including QE resourcing and testing schedules
- Collaborate with onshore, offshore, and project team members as needed for project success
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of software quality assurance experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on automation design and development experience utilizing the Tricentis Tosca automation suite or equivalent enterprise automation tooling
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with SAP Financial Control systems, SAP, iSeries/AS400, and Material Management systems
- Expert-level experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for SAP, iSeries/AS400 (Rumba), workflow orchestration tools, MQ, and web applications using Tricentis Tosca
- Hands-on experience deploying and utilizing Tricentis Tosca Commander for large-scale enterprise SAP applications
- Demonstrated proficiency in LiveCompare for continuous testing and risk management
- Experience with test data management solutions, including data mining within the Tosca TDM solution
- Proven leadership experience guiding and mentoring a team of automation developers
- Experience with defect management including logging, tracking, and driving resolution in collaboration with development teams
- Experience integrating automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of NeoLoad for performance testing
- Degree in computer science or a related technical field
- Understanding of web services concepts including SOAP, REST, and XML
- Database knowledge in a major RDBMS such as HANA, DB2, MS SQL Server, or Oracle
- Solid understanding of build tools and software configuration management standards
- Proficiency in Google Workspace applications including Sheets, Docs, Slides, and Gmail

Pay
The annual base salary range for this role is $150,000 – $190,000, depending on level and experience. This role may also be eligible for bonus and Restricted Stock Unit (RSU) eligibility, as well as discretionary bonus or other incentive compensation.
