Quality Engineer - Micro-CT Metrology
About the role
We are looking for a Quality Engineer – Micro-CT Metrology to join our Metals R&D team. In this role, you will operate state-of-the-art industrial Micro-CT (Micro Computed Tomography) scanning systems and generate output data that meets or exceeds the project team’s expectations. In this role, you will be responsible for failure investigations, first article inspections, and R&D design evaluations, directly impacting the success of critical projects within Gore Medical. This position requires collaboration with a wide range of subject matter experts and project team members to develop evaluation methods that push the state-of-the-art in CT scanning and Digital Radiography techniques. The expert use of various software tools will allow you to build 3D representations of complex internal and external structures and perform defect detection and accurate measurement of complex 3D geometries. This role will be located at our facility in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate high-resolution industrial CT scanning systems or other metrology equipment (e.g., micro-CT, Visicon, etc).
