Quality Engineer Level 3
Job Summary
We are seeking a Principal Quality Engineering Lead to drive quality engineering strategy and technical initiatives across product, engineering, release, and operations teams. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on technical leadership, influence, and improving software delivery outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale quality engineering and technical initiatives without direct authority.
- Define test strategies, automation frameworks, CI/CD practices, and release-readiness standards.
- Drive defect prevention, risk assessment, environment strategy, and production readiness.
- Evaluate and implement AI-enabled engineering and quality practices beyond basic code generation.
- Review code, automation frameworks, and technical designs; evaluate architectural tradeoffs.
- Coach and guide engineering teams through technical leadership and influence.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in software engineering, quality engineering, platform engineering, or related fields.
- Strong experience with test strategy, automation, CI/CD, and distributed systems.
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives without direct people management.
- Hands-on experience applying AI tools to engineering workflows.
- Strong code review, architecture, technical design, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
