Responsibilities
- Establish, implement, maintain, and enforce quality system processes that support products in development and production environments
- Measure, analyze, and improve quality system performance consistent with organization quality goals
- Review and approve manufacturing build documents including work orders and nonconformance records
- Perform periodic audits of the application of our quality system in accordance with AS9100
- Participate in engineering design reviews and make recommendations to improve the quality and manufacturability of new designs
- Recommend and improve initiatives and/or changes that will improve product and system quality
- Provide quality assurance domain expertise to inspection, manufacturing, and test for the Manufacturing team
- Collaborate with internal and external customers on quality related concerns; develop and present training materials to build quality awareness
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of a B.S. in engineering or equivalent STEM degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
- Quality assurance experience in production environment. Aerospace, space launch, military/commercial aviation preferred
- Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Avionics assembly
- Knowledge of Weld and NDT practices
- Working knowledge of Precision Measurement Science fundamentals
- Proficient in the fundamentals of GD&T
- Working knowledge of quality performance measurement analysis
- Working knowledge of Root Cause Analysis
- Working knowledge of First Article Inspection
- Quality assurance experience in rocket engine production environment
- Quality Management System audit experience
- Six Sigma Green, Black Belt, or comparable certification
- Working knowledge of aerospace assembly
