About the Role
A typical day involves reviewing internal and external quality data for assigned product groups. External data drives product and process improvements to enhance equipment reliability, while internal data guides efforts to improve production efficiency and product quality. The role requires close collaboration with plant engineers and line technicians to build quality into production processes and increase output. Most of the day is spent on the production floor, auditing processes, implementing quality assurance/quality control measures, and supporting assigned product groups.
From a current Quality Engineer: "No two days are the same. Some days involve firefighting on the production floor, while others focus on deep-diving into quality issues from the past six months to identify and address significant corrective actions. The role’s diversity keeps it exciting."
