Position Summary

The Marvin Group is a strategic partner for global alternate mission equipment and sustainment. We play a crucial role in the development and manufacturing of various systems for military aerospace and vehicles. Located near Los Angeles International Airport, The Marvin Group consists of Marvin Engineering, Marvin Test Solutions, and Marvin Land Systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Reviews customer requirements and ensures they are met. - Participates and leads closed-loop root cause and corrective action activities. - Disposes of non-conforming material. - Identifies and initiates continuous improvement opportunities. - Assembles and reviews end-item data packages before customer submission. - Performs contract reviews, purchase order reviews, planning reviews, and supplier data to ensure quality requirements are captured and flowed down. - Contributes to a team environment, being flexible and volunteering support to meet team goals. - Collaborates with program management, engineering, purchasing, production control, operations, and inspection. - Monitors Program Quality performance and facilitates process improvement projects to maintain an acceptable level. - Participates in Change Control Board (CCB) reviews.

Skills and Requirements

- Minimum of 5 years of quality assurance experience in the aerospace and defense industry. - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar. - Strong background in Corrective Action, Lean Tools, and problem-solving. - General understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings. - Excellent communication skills – both verbal and technical writing. - Provides project leadership for process improvement initiatives. - Understanding of configuration management principles and practices. - Experience with Quality Engineering tools, such as Cause Map, Fish Bone analysis, PFMEA, Six Sigma, SPC, etc. - Strong presentation skills. - Strong organizational skills. - Prior background that includes machining, assembly, and inspection desirable. - Attention to details and self-starter attitude. - Upholds the company’s core values of Partnership, ‘Can-Do’ Attitude, Integrity, and Innovation. - MS Office proficient. - American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) a plus. - Green belt trained a plus. - Familiarity with SAP a plus. - Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. - Works in a medium-to-large office environment with a fast-paced environment. - Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. - Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments. - Salary range: Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $95,000 - $120,000. - Travel requirements: Typically no travel required (0%).
