Quality Engineer II

About the role

As a Sr. Quality Engineer with Inalfa, you are in the driver’s seat to provide customer support on existing and new programs, ensuring proper use of control plans, diagnosing defective material and identifying the need for corrective actions, and maintaining expectations of IATF 16949.

Responsible for maintaining the quality and integrity of the products assigned in order to meet customer’s needs and Inalfa’s.

Responsibilities

• Reviews production lines to assure proper use of control plans and process sheet.
• Reviews and diagnoses defective material rejected during manufacturing process; identifies the need for corrective action.
• Provides customer support on existing programs and new programs.
• Possesses a high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others to motivate and elicit work output.
• Assists in maintaining IATF16949 status.
• Tracks and manages measures assigned in the plant.
• Practices and promotes safe work practices throughout the plant.
• Promotes team concepts and participates in teams.
• Understands and follows Inalfa policies and practices and any other legal requirements.
• Actively participates in achieving and maintaining quality goals and continuous improvement activities.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises quality auditors, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policy and applicable laws.

IATF16949/ISO14001/ISO45001 Responsibilities: Adheres to all IATF16949 (Quality), ISO45001 (Health and Safety), and ISO14001 (Environmental) procedures as related to the Quality department function.

Requirements

• Minimum 4-year Bachelor Degree.
• 2-5 years experience in automotive quality.
• 2 years minimum inspection layout experience.
• 2-5 years of supervisory experience.
• ASQC Certification preferred.

Skills

• Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
