About the role
You will support the Plant Quality Manager ("PQM") in the successful completion of improvement projects, internal and external audits. In this position, you will assist the PQM in the preparation for successful AS9100, Nadcap, and customer audits. You will utilize statistical analysis tools or software to analyze quality data and determine areas for improvement. You will support effective root cause and corrective action plans in a timely manner to meet the organization's and customers’ requirements. This position will support the Quality requirements when the Plant Quality Manager is not available and perform other essential job functions as assigned. You will perform and develop measurement methods, testing methods, and complete measurements/tests with written reports.
Responsibilities
- Support the Plant Quality Manager in improvement projects and audits (AS9100, Nadcap, customer audits).
- Utilize statistical analysis tools or software to analyze quality data and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and support effective root cause and corrective action plans.
- Perform and develop measurement and testing methods, completing tests with written reports.
- Support Quality requirements in the absence of the Plant Quality Manager.
- Work extended hours and/or weekend days as required.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree and 0–3 years of engineering/quality experience or 10+ years of direct vapor deposition/plating/thermal coatings experience with 2+ years of direct AS9100 Quality system experience.
- AS9100 Quality Management Systems and internal auditing experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other computer tools.
- Ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers and suppliers in a collaborative problem-solving environment.
- Effective project management skills with the ability to complete multiple projects independently.
- Combine theoretical training with practical, hands-on experience.
- Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident (green card holder), or otherwise classifiable as a U.S. person under relevant export control regulations (EAR, ITAR).
