Job Description
This Quality Engineer will report to the Fabrication Quality manager. The selected candidate will join the Fort Worth Fabrication Quality Team, and will support various programs in the Aeronautics portfolio. Using quality engineering techniques, the candidate will focus on root cause analyses and process improvement of assigned area(s) to improve quality yield. The selected Quality Engineer will be a liaison between Quality Engineering, Production Operations, Fabrication, Production Control, Supplier Quality, and various other engineering departments. The Quality Engineer will use data to improve quality output for the assigned area. This Quality Engineer will author First Article Inspection Reports using engineering drawings and pertinent technical data. The selected candidate will investigate product nonconformities and resolve with root cause and corrective action techniques. As necessary or assigned, the Quality Engineer will perform data analyses for quality-related data. The selected Quality Engineer will support a team with material detail, electrical, tooling, and nondestructive inspector classifications. Quality Engineers are expected to support product surveillances as needed, and conduct engineering evaluations of established processes and procedures.

Desired Skills
- Masters degree from an accredited college
- Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Experience writing First Article Inspection Reports
- Familiarity with various technical data from different platforms (F-16, F-22, F-35, etc.)
- Technical familiarity with component part fabrication and other manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102 and AS9103
- Tableau (or similar) data visualization skills
- Familiarity with HandyScan, T-Scan, MetraScan or similar and associated programs (e.g. PolyWorks)
