Responsibilities
- Lead Codes & Standards activities, providing technical expertise, prioritizing resources, and coordinating team workflows to support certification and compliance objectives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and certification requirements (e.g., UL, CSA) by reviewing test data packages, components, and supporting documentation.
- Plan, oversee, and witness testing activities in accordance with the Client Test Data Program (CTDP), verifying test results, equipment calibration, and record integrity.
- Manage certification processes and regulatory relationships, maintaining certification records, coordinating with certification bodies, and communicating standards updates across the business.
- Conduct audits and develop quality documentation, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure compliance and successful certification outcomes.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of service support experience, OR Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of service support experience, OR Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field JD/PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field 6+ years of service support experience in lieu of a degree.
- In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Qualifications
- Experience working with UL and/or CSA certification bodies and strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including UL, CSA, ISO, NFPA 70 (NEC), UL 2200, and MIL standards.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply codes, standards, engineering drawings, safety requirements, operating instructions, and technical procedures to support certification and compliance activities.
- Experience collaborating with certification agencies, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to solve technical, compliance, and product-related challenges.
- Proficiency with SAP, Windchill, 3D modeling software, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Broad business perspective with experience across functions and organizations, working knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines, and a demonstrated track record of driving compliance, quality, certification, and operational performance improvements.
