Responsibilities
- Organize and streamline processes/procedures
- Derive the root cause through on-site verification, investigation, and ignition analysis of safety issues
- Conduct a reproducibility experiment to verify the probable cause of a field issue
- Perform Cell/Module/Pack tear-down analysis and reporting
- Analyze structural and design safety risks of automobile & battery (Pack to Cell) system
- Analyze risk and cause through buyback and issue adjacent cell analysis
- Create failure analysis using precision diagnostic equipment
- Create instruction and diagnostic manuals
- Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or equivalent, relevant experience
- Experience in a Quality Engineering role or Reproducible experiment work in an automotive manufacturing environment including internship or co-op’s experience
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic circuits, including circuit theory and operating principle
- Strong problem-solving skills related to electrical and electronic components and systems
- Experience: 3+ years of experience, including internship or co-op experience, in a Quality Engineering role or Reproducible experiment work in an automotive manufacturing environment
- Fire related failure parts analysis experience including EV/PHEV vehicle diagnosis (GST)
- Experience in electrical and electronic circuit analysis (voltage, current, resistance, signal measurement and analysis)
- Experience diagnosing circuit-level issues and performing root cause analysis
- Experience working with BMS, power supply systems, sensors, and protection circuits
