Responsibilities

• Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews and update/maintain the Control Plan for assigned workflows
• Serve as primary contact with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationships, and support/attend meetings, reviews, and audits
• Perform root cause analysis of technical problems
• Ensure the quality system is maintained in accordance with the Business Operating System (YIOS) standards
• Facilitate problem-solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices
• Verify corrective actions and prepare problem-solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues
• Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends, and losses
• Participate in workgroups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.)
• Establish process controls, assist in training for new projects, and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes
• Support quality/dimensional control systems (e.g., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies)

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience in Quality or Engineering-related functions
• 1–3 years of experience working in Quality, Engineering CI, or similar (recent college graduates are acceptable)
• Less than 1 year of experience within the automotive industry
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment, establishing partnerships both internally and externally
• Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of the fundamentals of PPAP and APQP processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
