Pay

Estimated annual base pay: $75,000 (minimum) – $97,000 (midpoint) – $120,000 (maximum). All members are included in an annual cash bonus opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure product standards are consistently met.
• Identify and resolve quality-related issues by analyzing data and applying technical expertise and judgment.
• Provide informal guidance and support to new team members to enhance their understanding of quality protocols and practices.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and other departments to improve product quality and process efficiency.
• Document and communicate quality metrics, findings, and improvement recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
• Coach the team to recognize fatigue, stress, and environmental distractions that lead to escapes during long, intricate assembly processes.
• Actively identify areas at risk for Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and implement countermeasures.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to minimize rework, scrap, and operational inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing cell to identify and eliminate waste, scrap, and costly rework loops using Value Stream Mapping.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing
• Experience with a regulated manufacturing environment
• Experience working closely with a functionally integrated team
• Six Sigma certified and/or ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
• This position requires use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce.

• Communication: Capable of clearly explaining complex quality-related information to team members and stakeholders.
• Statistical Process Control (SPC): Knowledgeable in applying statistical methods to monitor and control processes.
