Aligned with the organization’s goals and objectives, you will assure goals are met through leading or participating in process improvement activities, problem-solving (both safety and quality-related opportunities), and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Be a safety ambassador each day; lead by example by following safety rules.
Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for improvements using KPIs: First Pass Yield (FPY), Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ), Control of Non-Conforming Parts, Part Per Million for Customer Complaints (PPM)
- Work as an active team member supporting quality goals and objectives
- Provide support to Operations and Engineering as needed
- Contain non-conforming parts and finished product as required
- Perform Gage R&R and MSA
- Problem investigation: root cause and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, A3)
- Conduct Process Audits
- Statistical analysis: Capability studies, review data for trends, and provide constructive feedback
- Build inspection plans for new parts
- Participation in waiver, MRB, and PPAP meetings
- Work with SQE on supplier-related issues
- Create ISIRs
Requirements
Required Skill Sets:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill set
- Proficiency in Quality Core Tools: PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Maps, Work Instructions
- Understanding of ISO 9001:2015/IATF 16949 QMS standards
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities
- Reading technical drawings and technical documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering

- Experience within manufacturing and/or automotive environment

- Problem-solving skills: 8D, 5-Why, A3, Minitab
- Continual Improvement: 6 Sigma
- SAP
- CMM programming (Basic)
