Quality Engineer
Why Join Seegrid?
Seegrid is the leading provider of Physical AI for material handling, offering autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), fleet management software, actionable analytics, and best‑in‑class services and support. Our technology has safely driven millions of autonomous miles in real‑world production facilities, and we are seeking energetic, bright, and friendly people to help fortify global supply chains with safe, seamless, and smart mobile robotics solutions.
About the Role
The Quality Engineer (QE) ensures customers receive high‑quality, safe, and standards‑compliant AMRs. The role involves hardware design and modification of new and existing vehicles, accessories, and support software, assessing design impacts on performance, safety, and reliability using mathematical, statistical, and industry‑standard analyses. Critical field information is gathered and analyzed to improve products and avoid performance degradation.
This position requires residence within 40 miles of Seegrid’s Pittsburgh headquarters for onsite presence, occasional travel to supplier facilities or customer sites, a valid real ID or passport, and the use of PPE (shoes, glasses). The QE may need to lift electronic equipment up to 25 lb to a height of 3‑5 ft for installation, maintenance, and inspection, and will be exposed to sustained noise (vehicle warning signals) and flashing lights.

- Lead and/or assist in design validation of new products or feature introductions.
- Provide quality metrics reports and related data analysis for cross‑functional teams.
- Offer engineering support for QC technical staff regarding reliability screening, process improvements, and finished‑goods inspection/testing.
- Initiate and drive problem‑solving/8D activities internally or at customer sites in response to performance degradation or field failures.
- Assist engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams to resolve quality problems unique to customer applications.
- Coordinate with supplier management/Supplier QE to ensure component selection and product application meet reliability requirements.
- Participate in process improvement and non‑conformance reduction programs.
- Conduct regular quality reviews with stakeholders to support improved product reliability.
- Occasional overnight travel to supplier or end‑customer locations.
