About the Opportunity
The Quality Engineer role is centered on ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data within the Enterprise Data Warehouse environment. This position is critical in building quality into deliverables and supports the technology quality function by validating data processes and facilitating high-quality outputs that impact health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Validate ETL processes using AI tools
- Verify source-to-target data mappings
- Test data transformations
- Use AI CoPilot and Python to ensure reports and dashboards reflect accurate business information
- Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and developers to identify data issues, create test plans and cases, and support defect resolution
- Cover quality activities across technological functions to deliver high-quality products and services
- Engage in strategy, planning, standards, process, policy, tools, engineering, assurance, management, metrics, R&D, automation, data preparation, maintenance, development, operations, and delivery
- Work independently on less structured, complex issues
- Serve as a resource for others
- Use enterprise-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and drive continuous improvement and innovation
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of QA/testing experience focused on data warehouse, ETL, or BI testing
- 3+ years of SQL experience for data validation and test automation
- 3+ years with QA tools such as HP ALM, JIRA, ADO, or similar test management tools
- Experience writing test cases and executing manual and automated tests in data warehouse environments
- PREFERRED: knowledge of modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse), cloud data platforms, data visualization tools, scripting in Python or Shell, domain experience in Medicaid, healthcare claims, providers, AI/ML model validation, ISTQB certification, data warehouse concepts, strong analytical and communication skills, and understanding of data quality and reconciliation techniques
Pay Range and Compensation Package
Salary range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on factors including local labor markets, education, experience, and certifications. Benefits include comprehensive package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contributions, subject to eligibility.
