About the role
Qnity Electronics is seeking a Quality Systems Engineer to serve as a key leader in maintaining and enhancing our Quality Management System (QMS) for our Kalrez® business. In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for quality systems, leading complaint investigations, driving corrective actions, coordinating audits, and supporting quality planning activities. You will collaborate across functions, influence process improvements, and help cultivate a culture where quality is embedded in everything we do. This position is 100% onsite in our Newark, Delaware facility.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100D, Nadcap, AS13100, and other applicable quality management requirements.
- Lead customer complaint investigations, perform root cause analysis, develop and submit 8D reports through Salesforce.
- Manage CAPA, SCAR, and continuous improvement activities to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Plan, conduct, and report internal audits while supporting external customer, regulatory, and certification audits.
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify improvement opportunities and implement preventive actions.
- Promote quality awareness, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
- Support product recall activities and interactions with customers, regulatory agencies, and certification bodies when required.
- Collaborate closely with Process Engineering, Applications Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, and Marketing teams to achieve quality objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline with 2+ years of experience in Semiconductor, Aerospace & Defense, or related manufacturing industry.
- Experience leading root cause investigations using structured methodologies such as RCAF, 5-Why, Fishbone, or 8D.
- Experience managing CAPA and SCAR processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Lead ISO 9001, AS9100 Auditor certified.
- Knowledge of quality and continuous improvement methodologies including Statistical Process Control (SPC), Lean Manufacturing, and/or Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
- Experience with Process Control System (PCS) tools including Cause & Effect Analysis, PFMEA/FMEA, Control Plans, or Control Charts.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive sustainable improvements.
- Strategic mindset with strong project and change management capabilities.
